Live Power BI Dashboards

Introduction

JobSiteIQ, a service operations company, required a centralized business intelligence solution to enhance visibility across job tracking, service performance, and sales quoting. Prior to the engagement, their reporting was fragmented and reactive, relying on disconnected tools and manual processes. The objective was to implement an integrated Power BI dashboard ecosystem to support data-driven decision-making.

Problem Statement

The existing reporting tools were:

  • Disjointed and manual reporting processes.
  • Limited visibility into job performance, technician efficiency, and quote pipelines.
  • Inability to slice and drill down into data by key metrics like date ranges, status, or revenue contribution. These gaps hampered operational oversight and reduced responsiveness to client and internal needs.

Product/Project Analysis

  • Defined project scope and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders, developing a Statement of Work (SOW) and a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) to streamline execution.
  • Managed Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and task allocation, resulting in a 40% improvement in development efficiency.
  • Ensured stakeholder alignment through weekly status reporting and iterative feedback cycles.
  • Oversaw the design and delivery of Power BI dashboards for:
    1. Job Tracking: Jobs by type, status, and wins by revenue/date range.
    2. Service Performance: Technician-wise work order counts, status pie charts, and billable hours.
    3. Quote Analytics: Quote pipeline by sales rep, status, revenue, and win ratios.
    4. Site Metrics: Top service sites by work order volume and revenue.

Impact

  • Reduced project planning cycle by 10 days via structured documentation (SOW, WBS).
  • Improved development velocity by 40%, enabling faster stakeholder feedback loops and quicker dashboard releases.
  • Delivered real-time, drillable dashboards that enhanced client satisfaction—measured by a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 9.
  • Improved visibility across business units, driving better resource planning, quote conversion insights, and site prioritization.

Conclusion

The JobSiteIQ BI Dashboard initiative modernized how operational and sales data is consumed across the organization. By leading this project from scope definition to deployment, I ensured the solution was aligned to business needs, technically robust, and user-friendly—setting a scalable foundation for future data-driven growth.
